Equipment without Mounted Tablet
- Login to the app.
- Go to the ‘More’ page, by opening the Me tab and then selecting the gear/cog icon in the top right.
- Select ‘Firmware Update’.
- Pair your equipment to your mobile device. "Connect Device"
- Select ‘Check for update’.
- If an update is available, proceed with the update.
- After update, please unplug equipment for 30 seconds, then plug back in.
USB Hardwire connected Equipment: (AS found on the Row-s, and Row-7s, etc.)
- Power on Equipment and tablet.
- Wait 40 seconds for tablet to display ‘Firmware Update’ pop up.
- Select ‘OK’ .
- If your firmware is older you may receive a message that says ‘Firmware cannot be updated via hardwire connection’, if you see this, please.
A. unplug equipment from wall.
B. Unplug USB connection from mounted tablet, keep the DC cable plugged into the DC IN port on the back of the tablet.
C. Plug equipment back in.
D. Select equipment serial number from ‘Available equipment’ pop up.
E. Wait for firmware pop up to appear.
F. Update the equipment firmware.
G. Unplug equipment from outlet.
H. If you unplugged the USB, then plug that back in at this time.
I. Plug equipment back in after 30 seconds.
UART/Data Cable Hardwire connected equipment: (As found on the Stride 5s & 7s, etc.)
- Take the UART cable out of the back of the tablet.
- Power cycle the equipment.
The equipment firmware update should be automatic but if you see a “Firmware Update Error” or do NOT see the serial number on the screen to connect please follow these instructions:
For Equipment that uses a large gray data cable AKA UART cable.
Select “OK”, hold down the 1 & 7 simultaneously until the serial number populates, then select your equipment serial number.
